Introduction
The angle of the bandsaw's table can be adjusted to produce angled cuts. Follow this SOP to adjust the angle of the table.
-
-
Loosen the locking knobs on the underside of the table by turning the knobs counter-clockwise.
-
Key Point: The knobs only need to be turned until the table is free to tilt (no more than about 1/2 a turn, usually)
-
-
-
Rotate the table in the direction of your desired angle.
-
Key Point: If the blade guide is adjusted too close to the table, there may not be enough room to tilt the table. Refer to the Adjusting Blade Guides SOP to raise the blade guides out of the way of the tilting table.
-
Use the pointer and scale on the front of the machine to move the table to your angle.
-
Key Point: It's good practice to use a bevel gauge or other sample angle to confirm that the setting shown by the pointer is correct.
-
-
-
Tighten the locking knobs on the underside of the table by turning the knobs clockwise.
-
Key Point: The table shouldn't tilt at this point. If the saw is still able to move, check that the locking knobs are tightened or ASK FOR HELP.
