Its usually helpful to raise the Extruder off the bed by 20-30mm before changing filament.

If the extruder is already raised off the bed, skip to the net step.

Press and hold the encoder knob until the display changes to Z-height adjustment (about 1 second)

Rotate the control knob CLOCKWISE to raise the Z-height (20-50 mm should be fine).

Press the control knob again to exit to the main menu.

You won't be able to unload or load filament until the extruder is up to temperature.

Press the control knob to enter the menu.

Select Preheat
-
Select PLA.
-
Wait for the extruder to come up to temp before continuing.

Choose "Unload Filament" from the menu.
-
As soon as the screen prompts you, pull up on the filament to remove it from the machine.
-

Use the holes on the side of the filament spool to secure the end and keep it from unspooling.
-
Tangled spools are guaranteed to ruin a print. Do you fellow members a solid and keep the spool tidy!

Remove the spool from the support on top of the machine.

Install the new spool on the hook.

Be sure the filament is passing OVER the top of the spool.
-

Using diagonal cutters, trim the end of the new filament to a relatively sharp point.

Locate the hole on the top of the extruder (the same hole you just removed filament from).
-
Feed the filament into the hole. The machine will beep and begin feeding the filament.

The filament sensor should detect the filament being inserted and being feeding. If it doesn't, you can select "Load Filament" from the menu to do this manually.

Wait for the machine to ask if the filament is extruding with the correct color.

If the correct color plastic is coming out of the nozzle, select "Yes". If not, select "No" and the extruder will continue to extrude.

Use tweezers to remove any filament stuck to the nozzle.

Be careful not to touch the nozzle. It is very hot and could easily burn you.

Continue to print or select "Preheat -> Cooldown" to turn off the heaters.
