Introduction

The blade guides help keep the blade running in a straight line through the work piece. Incorrectly adjusted blade guides can produce poor cut quality and potentially leave more of the blade exposed to the user, increasing the chance for injury,

    • Loosen the locking knob holding the blade guide in place by turning the knob counterclockwise.

    • Key Point: The knob only needs to be turned until the guide is free to slide (no more than about 1/2 a turn, usually)

  2. Slide the blade guide up and down to adjust its height above the table. Adjust the guide so that it is close to your work, but won't interfere with your work as it passes through the saw.

    • Key Point: Generally, moving the blade guide as close to the workpiece as practical will result in better results.

  3. Tighten the locking knob holding the blade guide in by turning the knob clockwise.
