Die: The die will come forward and cut your paper strip

Paper feed path. Your strip of paper will slip behind the black front plate.

The die cutter is extremely safe. There should be very little risk of getting fingers caught. HOWEVER, do be careful to keep fingers clear of the pinch points of the machine, particularly when pulling the handle down.

Your design needs to be cut down so the strip of paper is ~4in/10cm wide. The die can’t accommodate wide paper. (The 25mm die is more accommodating, but full sheets can still be tough to manage.

The cutter will make a blank that is 5-10mm bigger than the nominal size of the button. See the chart in the second image for detailed measurements.
