  1. Ensure that the table is locked by turning the red handle on the left of the column clockwise until snug.

    • If the table is unlocked during drilling the force of the operation isn't transferred to the column.

  2. If drilling through your stock, place a backer board under the part to protect the table and help prevent chipout

    • If drilling difficult stock, use clamps in the table slots to secure your work.

  3. Turn the light on if desired.
    • Turn the light on if desired.

    • Pull the power switch out to turn on the drill press.

  4. Rotate the quill handle down (counter-clockwise) to drill your hole.

    • Be careful to fully secure your work.

    • Excessive pressure should not be required, let the drill press do the work

    • The quill will spring return back up when finished drilling.

  5. Press the power switch in to turn off the drill press.

    • Turn the light off if you're done using the machine.

  6. Remove and return your drill bit to its home.
    • Remove and return your drill bit to its home.

    • Remember to clean your chips and tidy the area when finished.
