A clogged print head may look like streaks, or one color may print correctly for a while and then just stop.
-
The plotter may go through all of the motions and just not print anything at all.
-
If the print head is not moving, that is a separate issue.
-
There are 4 print heads, one for each color ink that the printer uses.
-
-
-
Go to the screen on the printer
-
Menu > Ink > Replace Print Head. Press enter.
-
The plotter will pull all of the print heads over so they are accessible.
-
Following the instructions on the machine, pull out any that are clogged. They are each labeled with the color ink that they print.
-
-
-
Line the bottom of a water-proof container with wet papertowel.
-
Place the print heads ink-side down on the wet paper towel.
-
Wait 5 minutes.
-
Gently wipe off the print head.
-
-
-
Replace the print heads in the machine.
-
Test the results by printing something using the colors that were clogged.
-
If they still seem clogged, repeat steps 2-4 until resolved.
