Retrieve the Propane, Mapp Gas or Butane bottle and Self-Lighting Nozzle from can next to forge.

Screw the Self-Lighting Nozzle to the Mapp Gas bottle.

Turn blower motor power switch to the on position/ switch in the up position

Turn on propane by turning the propane main valve counter clockwise 1/4 turn.

Turn Propane Regulator knob counterclockwise until Regulator Gauge reads 5 psi. If you are working large material, you may wish to run the forge at a higher psi (up to 10 psi). Be aware that at higher psi the forge will use significantly more fuel. Please do not be wasteful

Turn the propane main valve clockwise 1/4 turn to shut off propane.

Hold unlit Propane, Mapp Gas or Butane nozzle in the front forge opening.

Turn on propane by turning the propane main valve counter clockwise 1/4 turn.

Keeping clear of the front forge opening (standing to the side with the Mapp Gas or Butane nozzle in the front forge opening) Light the torch and ignite the propane in the forge.

Turn off Propane, Mapp Gas or Butane torch (if still lit) and put aside in a safe place

Adjust air flow as need to create a neutral flame. a flame resulting from the burning of gases supplied in the proper proportions for perfect combustion (as approximately equal volumes of propane and air)

The flames coming from below the a nice light blue come from the opening below forge door.

Turn Main Propane Valve 1/4 turn clockwise to shut off propane. Insure that the valve is tightly closed.
