Turn the key to the on position. 2 clicks and then release the key. The red light should turn on, as well as the white work lights inside.

The bed will automatically zero down, and will lower all the way to the bottom.

Open the door to the laser and place your material.

Use the arrow keys to move the head above your material.

Find the focus tool in the tray above the key pad.

Place the focus tool, pointy side down in the groove on the right side of the laser head. The brass rectangle slides into the groove in the red aluminum below the black coupling.

Raise the bed using the up arrow. labeled AF. Continue to raise the bed until the focus tool touches the material and drops off the machine.

Replace the focus tool in the tray.

Close the Laser Cutter Lid.

Turn on the secondary exhaust fan by hitting the switch on the extension cord on the wall.

On the Ruby program, the cross hairs point to the location of the head above the laser bed. Select your design and position it so that the cross hairs are on the top left corner of the design.

Click queue

Click the Produce Tab, and wait for the action window to pop up.

Select the job from the left hand sidebar.

Click play button to start the laser project.

Once the job is complete, open the lid, remove your project and any scraps left behind, and close the lid.

Close lid

Turn off exhaust fan

Turn key to 0.

Make sure that focus tool has been returned.
